Names of values and rests
Most of you know these, and all of you should have a little card in your binder pocket with the names of the different notes and rests. I would like all of you to review these and try to have them memorized.
We often refer to notes and rests by their 'value' and not too often by their name. For example, let's say that there are 4 girls in a room. One is Lisa, one is Jane, one is Silvia and the last one is Anne. While they are all girls, you would not call them 'girl' you would call them by name. We should do the same with notes and rests. Remember that a note and a rest of the same value carries the same name. For example a 1/2 note, is called a mini, and a 1/2 rest is a minim rest.
Remember on the links tab you will find so many quizzes but for most you will need to know these names. So let's look at them:)

Here are a few quizzes you can use to test your knowledge!
